报告摘要:
Dielectric capacitors are rechargeable, passive electronic components that can quickly store and release electrical energy. They are among the most produced and widely used capacitors. With annual production in the hundreds of billions, their applications span smart grids, electronic circuits, electric vehicles, and pulse power electronic equipment. To meet the growing energy storage demands and miniaturization requirements of modern electronic devices, developing high-performance dielectric ceramic materials for capacitors is crucial. While lead-based ceramic materials have demonstrated excellent energy storage performance, their toxicity necessitates the development of environmentally friendly, lead-free alternatives. The work proposes a new strategy for tailoring defect behavior in BiFeO3-SrTiO3 (BF-ST) lead-free relaxor ferroelectric ceramics. Synchrotron X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy data were combined to reveal, from a microscopic to atomic-scale perspective, the intrinsic mechanism of energy storage density optimization in AgNbO3-based antiferroelectric ceramics. Neutron scattering is a powerful experimental technique capable of probing the microstructure and dynamical behavior of materials. This report will use thermoelectric materials and magnetic materials as examples to discuss key applications of neutron scattering in condensed matter physics research.
