报告摘要：

The bachelor's thesis is an important part of engineering education, providing students with an opportunity to apply their knowledge to a practical or research-oriented project.

This lecture introduces the role of the bachelor's thesis in the Computer Engineering programme, including its requirements, expected workload, and the responsibilities of students and supervisors.

Students will learn how to select a suitable topic, develop their own project ideas, find supervisors, and define realistic project goals. We will also discuss the available university resources, including laboratories, computing infrastructure, electronic equipment, and prototyping tools.

Several examples will illustrate the wide range of possible thesis projects, from software development and embedded systems to measurement devices, robotics, and home automation.

Finally, I will introduce some of my own supervision and research interests, including smart home technologies, electronic system design, secure communication, and scientific applications.

报告人简介：

Dr. Róbert Mingesz is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Technical Informatics, University of Szeged, Hungary. He received his PhD in Physics in 2009. His research interests include noise and fluctuation analysis, noise-based secure communication, fluctuation-enhanced sensing, and the development of measurement and embedded systems. He has extensive experience in engineering education, curriculum development, and student thesis supervision.
