报告题目：Big Ideas: towards a new Curriculum for Physics
报 告 人：Kevin Walsh 博士（英国威斯敏斯特学校）
Education in the UK and across the world has evolved and developed to create distinct topics and subjects. The modern word in English to describe this is “silos” and within each school subject, including Physics, the silos have started to prohibit the teaching of the subject. In the modern world many questions and ideas exist within several silos and the time seems right to discuss a new curriculum for Physics Teaching which takes account of the new questions and concepts that schoolchildren across the world will need to address. This talk looks at how we have arrived at this situation and explores ways of dealing with it, focusing on new topics (Big Ideas) identified by a project being carried out by the Institute of Physics.
